Course Description
The Server+ course deals with
advanced PC hardware issues and is vendor neutral, supporting a broad range of
hardware and software. During the course students will gain an in-depth
knowledge of servers, including troubleshooting, physical security and disaster
recovery, as well as a thorough working knowledge of hardware configuration and
network connectivity. Students will learn to install and configure server
hardware and implement current and emerging data storage and transfer
technologies such as SCSI and RAID, as well as perform maintenance on server
systems, data storage subsystems, and network devices. Classroom instruction is
intense, 8-10 hours daily, consisting of a combination of lectures, hands-on
labs and exam preparation.

Prerequisites
The target population is mid-level and upper level technicians. A + and Net + certification, or one year working experience are highly desirable.
